Skimping on a sofa wasn't an option either. I wanted something that I loved, that was functional, stylish and would last me a few years. I knew I was crazy about a tufted back (see below for an example), so at least I had a starting point...
(TUFTED BACK)
I saw this in a magazine and loved it but when I looked it up, it was on the pricey side (booo). Sofa search would continue...

It had everything I was looking for!!! The feminine touches with the diamond tufted back, 6 inch tall wooden turned spindle legs in a rich Espresso finish, French taping with 5/8 inch antique nail heads, and the slouchy cushions for comfort. I was sold!
Here is my sofa sitting pretty in my condo. I swapped out two of the sofa pillows for these handsome houndstooth pillows. And don't let me forget to mention that the color works perfectly with my vintage federal-style buffet sideboard cabinet - it was meant to be!

Love it, Panz! Where is the sofa from? Did you see any larger sectionals in that style when you were there?
ReplyDeleteThank you! I picked up that pretty-lookin' sofa from Z Gallerie - it is a very fun and unique store! My particular sofa comes in two lengths - 84" vs. 96", and a three piece sectional!
